extension cable for rabbit ears?
I have my new $13 rabbit ears attached to my govt subsidized converter and am happily getting better picture quality than comcast cable (for free)! However, I have the rabbit ears on top of and African drum on top of a vintage stereo speaker so that it is about 5 feet off the floor near a window. Ideally I'd like to move the antenna to another window about 12 feet from the TV and perhaps get even more channels and more consistent reception... is there anywhere I can get an extension cable for my rabbit ears cable? Will I lose signal strength with a longer cable? Any help appreciated as I enter the new (old) world of free tv.
You can buy an adapter and connect an additional coaxial cable to your antenna. If there's signal loss, you can plug the antenna into a low power antenna amp, then to the long coaxial cable. Cables and adapters are available in lots of places, such as Radio Shack, Wal-Mart, and hardware stores.
