where should the timing marks be set at on timing chain for chrysler 318 marine engine 1979 reverse rotation?
HI
The timing marks should line up with each other cam at 6 O'clock and the crank at 12 O'clock. If I'm not mistaken... You can all ways mock up the crank pulley and look at the chain cover for the marks and see if they are close. Then look at the cam and see that if the lilters were in on number one cylinder would not be on the lift lobe of the cam should be on the base circle.
