What other symptoms could simulate a switchbox malfunction?

I have a Mercury V6 Seadoo jet boat that is only getting power on three cylinders all on the same side. I tried replacing the spark plugs and then the fuel filter. There is only one fuel pump I am not sure if it is the switchbox that may be malfuncting or if it is something I overlooked. There're 6 coils and three carbs. I'm confused!

If you have an entire bank of cylinders out it could be a couple of things I can think of. It may be a switch box. If you have access to merc test equipment (voltmeter with a direct voltage adapter) and the test manual you could check it out. Or you could swap positions with both switch boxes and the other bank goes dead you know its the box. But it could also be the stator and you would again need the testers.
